Questions

Volunteers do need training. If you have volunteered before at a different animal shelter training is still needed to volunteer at Loved pets. Failure to attend training will result in not being able to volunteer.
Training involves learning safety protocols when it comes to taking care of the animals, learning the layout of the shelter, and other procedures.

All medical records for our available animals are up to date. If animals come from other shelters we make sure to get their past medical records in order to better understand our animals. At the shelter animals have veterinarian appointment were they are assessed and see if there are any problems. When animals first come to the shelter they have appointments every week to make sure they are adjusting correctly and then after a month they have appointments very month.

As of right now animals are not being fostered from our shelter. This is something that we are working on and hopefully soon we can offer this to our community.

If your application is denied that means that you weren't chosen to adopt the animal of your choice. If this happens that doesn’t mean anything bad and you can still choose to adopt another animal from our shelter.

The adoption fee includes the price for caring for your animal. This includes medical care, basic needs, and post-adoption support. If you are struggling to pay all of the adoption fee at once please contact us so that we can work out a payment plan.
